Ive always thought , Pagula is the most rudimentary rep of the womans game ; i.e double h backhand , predominantly counter punching style from the back court , steady , basic side to side no frills game However , watching some her previous matches leading up to the final - she looked a hybrid version of her previous self ( game ) . Considering the power player she faced , Pagula as in her other matches - played over n above how she has in other years - in every department. Although she didnt win it , full credit to her & team for honing her skills up to the max level seemily possible 😊

Fritz admitted in his press conference he could have played better. Frankly the highlights were showing Sinner points landing past the baseline plus other errors very out of character for Jannik. Incredible stressors, the heat and humidity, the historic implications, the gruelling nature of the many matches prior to the final. Sinner's younger legs and superior stamina seemed what prevailed. Happy for both players, the crowd was deafening, just playing focused in the raucous US Open was valuable experience for Fritz. Sinner had more Grand Slam experience, more gas left in the tank. I predicted Sinner in 4 sets, he's a remarkable front runner. The best man won you can't ask for better.

I gave Fed 10 things he could work on to extend his career well into his mid 40's but he was too stubborn and didn't listen to me.
